New inventory is added on a regular basis by Cindy and friend, Amy Rothe of Sage&Twine. Your visit can be fun and lively, or as quiet and thoughtful as you like. Cowgirl Emporium, located on Rt. 1 in Hancock Village is a unique cottage shop located right in the "dooryard" of its owner & proprietor, Cindy Stewart. The small shop is always festive and welcoming, starting with the garden and flower boxes outside! Inside, you'll find a tastefully crammed stock of refurbished, painted and distressed furniture, as well as new and vintage home & garden decor.
A walk through the screen door brings oohs & aahs and frequent exclamations of "I just want to move in!" As one delighted customer said as she took in the many dressers, tables, chairs, hutches, stools, benches, lamps & pictures......"I didn't know I needed it until I saw it here!" A closer look reveals iron for the garden, plant stands, jewelry, linens, note cards, dishware, & Hobson the butler serving a plate of cookies! You might discover pink glass knobs on a white, distressed dresser, floral wallpaper lining the inside of an old armoire, seaglass on a small table top, old spoons for drawer
pulls, fake leopard print fur lining the bottom of an old wood tool box, or funny wooden signs. My favorite? "I kiss better than I cook!"
